plan A it is.

February 12, 2010

Thoroughly exciting picture of first night’s progress after the great knitterly mass cast-on. Don’t worry, this thing has grown by quite a bit- i’ll have to take some progress pictures soon.

thanks to your help (or advice), I chose plan A for some more reasons that may be better suited for my pretend therapist, but one really good reason is it’s a canadian pattern. sort of appropriate. πŸ™‚

so far, it’s going pretty well. I think I’m halfway through the back and I’ve learned a few things if I want to knit for a living, er, I mean, under constant pressure.
1. get some sleep. you have no idea how many goofy mistakes i’ve made past my bedtime, and how i spent even more time past my bedtime fixing them.
2. it rocks to have a good cable-fu. (otherwise known as bag of tricks).
3. it’s perfectly fine to alternate rows with something else that does not involve knitting, especially if your fingers start hurting/get stiff. like long-distance bicycling in mildly freezing weather. πŸ™‚
4. always finish to end of a row. that way you don’t lose your place.

to be continued…
